GHOST SQUAD
The Ghost Squad is a 2005 British crime drama series that was filmed at various locations in the United Kingdom. The shows concept was created by Tom Grieves and was based on the real life Ghost Squad that existed between 1994 and 1998. It stars Elaine Cassidy and Jonas Armstrong who star as Amy Harris and Pete Maitland respectively.
The premise of the show is that there is an undercover police squad which investigates police for possible corruption. There were Eight episodes produced in 2005 before the show was cancelled. The show broadcast after 11PM and as a consequence attracted poorer ratings as opposed to what could have been expected had it been put out in one of the prime slots earlier in the evening. It was a truly gritty series made to look very realistic. All 8 Great episodes beautiful quality
ONE OF US - Detective Amy Harris apprehends a local street criminal and is blamed for his untimely death whilst inside the police station. Amy conducts her own investigation playing people off one another
HARDCORE - Amy, newly recruited to the Ghost Squad, investigates a group of police officers who have been working under cover to expose a sex trafficking network.
HEROS - Amy is sent under cover to work alongside a police sergeant and expose his corruption
THE GREATER GOOD Amy investigates the background of a Chief Superintendent in line for further promotion but spots her dining with her own boyfriend.
FIREWALL- Amy has to discover which of three police officers working on a witness protection programme is corrupt, and make sure that the witness reaches court. Whilst there she has a glimpse of what the long term effects of being an undercover officer can be.
NECESSARY MEANS - Amy has to get close to a CSU officer under investigation by the Financial Crimes Unit, and find out where her money is coming from.
COLOUR BLIND PART #1 & PART #2 - Amy goes under cover to investigate a detective inspector accused of involvement in drugs and prostitution.
