THE FIGHTING FRONTIERMAN - Prospector Cimarron Dobbs (Emmett Lynn) stumbles on a vast cache of Spanish gold left in Texas by Santa Ana's army, and knows he will be swindled out of his discovery unless he gets help. Saloon hostess Dixie King (Helen Mowery) agrees that he must secure the help of the Durango Kid, otherwise known as Steve Reynolds (Charles Starrett). THE KID FROM BROKEN GUN - Donning his mask once again, Steve comes to the aid of Jock Mahoney, who has been wrongfully accused of murder. The real murderer, as it turns out, is Jock's own lawyer, Gail Kingston (Angela Stevens). As usual, Smiley Burnette is along for the ride to provide comedy relief and a hayseed ditty or two BANDITS OF EL DORODO - The Texas Rangers and Mexican Rurales can find no trace of six to seven wanted outlaws on either side of the border. Texas Ranger Captain Henley (Fred Sears) and Ranger Steve Carson (Charles Starrett) stage a fake killing of the Captain by Carson in order to make him a wanted fugitive, and find the answer to the mystery as such.

THE DURANGO KID - Charles Starrett, turns into a regular prairie Robin Hood in this fine Western directed by the veteran Lambert Hillyer. The Pioneers are ranch hands working for Sam Lowry (Frank LaRue), who is expecting the return from Texas of his son, Jim (Starrett). That very same day, Sam is shot in the back and killed by Bixby (Steve Clark), who is in the employ of Mace Ballard (Kenneth MacDonald), a local cattle baron waging a war against the homesteaders. Ballard conveniently blames one of the nesters for the killing and to get to the truth, Jim dons the garb of the feared Durango Kid, a Texas outlaw with a social conscience. The marshal (Melvin Lang) appoints Jim deputy and assigns him to track down the Kid, a tricky situation that Jim handles in style. Desperate to cover his tracks, Ballard lures Jim/Durango into a trap, but the scheme backfires and the villain is made to confess. GALLOPING THUNDER - .The cattle herds of some Arizona ranchers are being stampeded and stolen, so the Arizona Stockmen's Syndicate sends ace investigator Steve Reynolds (Charles Starrett) in to find out who is responsible. Steve poses as a vicious gunslinger named Buck McCloud to work his way into the gang, and then becomes the Durango Kid to disrupt the activities he learns about.



SET #12



THE STRANGER FROM PONCO CITY - A saddle-weary Steve Larkin (Charles Starrett), also the Duranko Kid, rides into Red Mound, a town filled with cattle rustlers. Cafe owner Smiley (Smiley Burnette), befriends Steve and fills him in on the activities. Steve angers the rustler's leader, Flip Dugan (Jim Diehl) when he purchases the old Atkins ranch which is supposedly haunted. WEST OF SONORA - This time, Steve/Durango champions the cause of 10-year-old Penelope Clinton (Anita Castle), who has spent her short life as the focus of a feud between her grandfathers, suspected outlaw Black Murphy (Steve Darrell) and Sheriff Jack Clinton (George Cheseboro). When Murphy rides off with Penelope, it's up to Durango to keep the two grandpops from blowing off each others' heads and to bring an end to their foolish quarrel.

TWO FISTED STRANGER - The Durango Kid takes over as Sheriff and investigates his predecessor''s murder. . He doesn't last long and is fired for incompetence. But he realizes Brady is pulling off a swindle. Having found the proper soil, Brady has salted it with cheap diamonds, gotten Smiley to accidently find them, and is now taking money from eager investors and planning to flee with it. - WEST OF DODGE CITY - This time, the Kid, aka Steve Ramsey, witnesses a stage robbery, during which local rancher John Avery (Nolan Leary) is brutally murdered. Behind both the holdup and the killing is unscrupulous Silver Bend businessman Henry Hardison (Fred S. Sears), whose attempts at purchasing Avery's potentially valuable land have hit a snag.

SIX GUN LAW - , A corrupt, prominent citizen owns a small western town. The trouble begins when a cowboy finds himself convinced by the evil town father that he has killed the sheriff. In exchange for his silence, the official forces the man to become the new sheriff and instructs him to turn a blind eye to the villain's evil doings. PRARIE ROUND UP - Framed for murder, Carson escapes to locate the real killer. It turns out that he was set up by cattle baron Buck Prescott (Frank Fenton), who eliminates competition by stealing livestock from other ranchers. ROUGH TOUGH WEST - Starrett is known as "Steve Holden," a former Texas Ranger who comes to a wide-open mining town to visit an old friend (Jack -- later Jock -- Mahoney). Alas, said friend has turned bad, and is busy arranging a major land grab when Steve arrives on the scene. With deep regret, our hero dons his Durango disguise to thwart his ex-friend's criminal activities. .



DISC #15



TRAIL TO LAREDO - This time, the Durango Kid (Charles Starrett) is chasing down a gang of outlaws shipping stolen gold in crates marked "ring bolts," ably assisted by Smiley, a treasury agent working undercover as a house painter. RIDERS OF THE LONESTAR - An outlaw gang is trying to stop the reopening of a mine as they look for the money left there by the famous outlaw Dusty Morton. After a ten year absence, Morton has apparently reappeared and Steve arrives looking for him. He finds his son who also wonders if his father is still alive. With the gang soon after him, the Durango Kid goes into action and Steve tries to learn who the real Dusty Morgan is.
