BOB STEELE WESTERNS #5

SET #5

THE BRAND OF HATE

Steele is Rod Kent, a rancher falling in love with his neighbor, Margie Orkin (Lucile Browne), whom he rescues from an irate bull. Margie, however, is soon in a different kind of danger altogether when her father's evil half-brother, Bill (George Hayes), suddenly appears on the property with blackmail on his mind. When Rod intervenes, his father (Charles K. French) is shot by one of Bill's nasty sons, Holt (James Flavin). Bill's attempt to pin the blame on his half-brother, Joe (William Farnum), fails.

TEXAS BUDDIES

A returning World War I flying ace, Ted "Gat" Garner joins his old friend, Si Halter (George "Gabby" Hayes), on a trip to the desert. They stumble over the skeletal remains of Cyrus Hellner and a note that begs the finder to care for Hellner's niece, June Collins. The girl (Nancy Drexel) arrives in a bi-plane that is shot down by highwayman Kincaid (Harry Semels) and his cohorts. The villains are chased away by Gat and Si, the latter pretending to be June's uncle to spare her more grief. Along with the sheriff (William Dyer), Gat and Si concoct a scheme to lure Kincaid out into the open.

WILD HORSE VALLEY

Bob Steele's horse Pirate, "one of the finest Arabian stallions in the West," is stolen by Ted Adams in a daring attempt to lure mares belonging to local ranchers into secret Wild Horse Valley.

NO MAN?S RANGE

Bob Steele as Jim Hale, a young cowboy summoned by his stepfather Ed (Charles K. French) to assume his share of the family ranch. When Jim and his elderly sidekick Fuzz (Buck Connors) arrive, they find themselves in the middle of a range war between the Greens and the Bradys.
