THE FORD SHOW starring Tennessee Ernie Ford

The Ford Show (also known as The Ford Show, Starring Tennessee Ernie Ford and The Tennessee Ernie Ford Show) is an American variety program, starring singer and folk humorist Tennessee Ernie Ford, which aired on NBC on Thursday evenings from October 4, 1956 to June 29, 1961.  Despite the objection of studio bosses, Ford closed all but 18 of the 121 episodes of his program with a hymn or other spiritual song. It became one of the most popular segments of his show. The Ford Show was frequently among the Top 20 programs.  Charles Schltz’s PEANUTs gang made their earliest appearances as they introduced many of the shows.

This select group of 21 complete shows offers a wide variety of guest stars as well as two of the only 5 shows in which Ernie did not have a guest star.  Taken from old 16MM prints the quality of these shows are excellent - ranging 8 to 8.5 and all contain the original vintage Ford commercials. IN COLOR and BLACK AND WHITE.
